DB12Run in Lanarkshire

DB12Run is a free jogging/running/walking group for people with diabetes or a medical condition or for someone who would just like to get a little bit more active and make some new friends.

There are other groups out there in the Lanarkshire area but this is a group not about times or pace, it is a group for people who would like to be more active and fitter working on the most important person in the world – you!

JDRF Open Meeting in Edinburgh

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) Research Open Meetings are a fantastic way to keep up to date with the latest research developments and a great way to meet other families who are also affected by type 1 diabetes. The day itself will feature presentations from five of the UK’s top researchers on topics including the artificial pancreas, beta cells and islet transplantation. There will also be an inspirational talk from Douglas Cairns who conducted a round the world flight despite having type 1 diabetes.
