Hong Kong-Scotland Partners in Post Doctoral Research Scholarship Scheme

British Council Hong Kong and Scotland are administering the Hong Kong-Scotland Partners in Post Doctoral Research Scholarship Scheme. The scholarships are funded by the Scottish Government and the Hong Kong Research Grants Council for the purpose of stimulating and strengthening academic and research links between Scotland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The aim of this initiative is to foster academic links between Scotland and Hong Kong by enabling researchers to conduct cutting edge research in each other’s country. This is the second year of the scholarship scheme.

Diabetes UK is committed to funding new research that has the potential to improve the lives of people living with diabetes. This year, despite the harsh economic climate, we have made new awards through all of our funding routes: PhD Studentships, Basic and Clinical Fellowships, Small grants, Equipment grants and Project grants in addition to maintaining a portfolio of existing research grants representing a total value of awards of around £20 million.
