Generation Scotland Symposium 2013

SUBMITTED BY PGMCINTOSH ON MON, 12/08/2013 - 09:30

Generation Scotland is a rapidly expanding resource of genetic and clinical data. Hear first-hand how the resources are being used and about the opportunities for research, development and innovation.

Building on the success of the GS Symposium 2012, this one day meeting will provide an early opportunity to hear first-hand the Genome Wide Association results from 10,000 GS participants and set this in the context of parallel initiatives in Scotland in e-Health Research and Stratified Medicine. We will hear research progress reports from a diverse set of researchers who are using GS resources, including the Expert Working Groups which are adding further value to the annotation of GS data. A keynote talk from Professor Nick Hastie, CBE FRS, will round off what is set to be another exciting GS Symposium. This is an excellent opportunity to hear from, and network with, key players in academic and commercial genomic sciences research and innovation.

Sponsored by Health Science Scotland. GS is supported by the funding of the Scottish Government Health Directorates, Chief Scientist Office.
