This year’s NHS Research Scotland conference. Please come along and celebrate 40 years of supporting clinical research in Scotland.

The conference will be taking place on Thursday, 31st October 2013 at the John McIntyre Conference Centre in Edinburgh.

Anyone with an interest in clinical research in Scotland, particularly clinical researchers, funders of clinical research, clinical research support staff (CRF, CTU, trial managers etc), NHS R&D staff.

Type 2 diabetes, socioeconomic status and risk of cancer in Scotland 2001-2007

Aims/hypothesis
The objective of this study was to use Scottish national data to assess the influence of type 2 diabetes on the risk of cancer at 16 different sites, while specifically investigating the role of confounding by socioeconomic status in the diabetes–cancer relationship.
